The Essex and Halstead Marathon

This is Steve Martin.  Steve is very good at running.  He’s so good that he ran more than 26 miles on a warm sunny Sunday – just for me.  I turned up at the finish line to meet him, and to say thank you.

 There were lots of other people running that day, but Steve was the only one who donated all his sponsorship just to me.  That was a really lovely thing for him to do.

I also got to meet Steve’s wife Dawn, and their two girls Chloe and Jenny.  I liked them very much – they made me laugh.

I’d already had a long and exciting day on Sunday, so I’m sorry if I was a little bit grumpy by the time I arrived.  But I had a lovely day and it was lovely to meet Steve and his family. 

There are lots of very kind people in the World.  That makes me happy.
